Nablus Soap

The historic tradition of olive oil soapmaking in Palestine is over a thousand years old. Traditionally made by women using the leftover olive oil from their harvests, the natural soap is nourishing, moisturizing, and maintains skin balance. Originating specifically in the city of Nablus, Palestine, there is one family that has been dominating the olive oil soap making scene for over 400 years, The Tbeleh Family of Nablus Soap Company.

Founded in 1971 by Mojtaba Tbeleh, Nablus Soap Company has become the biggest soap company standing today. All soaps are handmade and 100% natural. The soaps are made purely of olive oil but can also contain other natural ingredients including Dead Sea minerals, essential and natural oils, and herbs known to have nourishing and healing properties. Due to the natural ingredients and process, the olive oil soap can be used on everywhere including your face, body, and hair.

Nablus Soap Company, while rooted in age-old traditions, has evolved over the decades and creates a perfect blend between traditional techniques and new modern approaches. Even after decades of success, the process of soapmaking at Nablus Soap remains a uniquely artisan job. Containing only 20 employees, 12 men and 8 women, each one is highly trained in the art of soapmaking bringing you only the finest of soaps. Traditional olive oil soap is a common symbol of Palestine, representing their successes and lifestyle before the start of the occupation and proving these traditions will persevere through any and every attempt to erase them.
