Basket by Women in Salfit (15")

New artisan for ShopPalestine is Salma Bozeye, Founder and Director of Beit Al Turath,  in Salfit area.

For more than 15 years, Salma has been buying the straw (olive and wheat) from local women, dyeing and drying it, and making these beautiful baskets. She also offers 3 – 4 trainings each year on basket making Palestinian style. She is inspired to preserve  authentic Palestinian heritage while also helping to support local women.
